Today I played spectator. My two training buddies Tara and Jess raced in the Marlborough Sprint Triathlon today. (A client had asked me what I was going to do over the weekend, and when I told her one of the things was to watch my friends in a triathlon, she wondered if I would feel as though I wished I was out there. The answer is and was, NO!) It felt great to be a spectator and it feels great to know I will not be doing any more triathlons for this summer. I am so enjoying spending quality time with my friends these days. Tara and Jess did awesome in the tri and the event was run extremely well. The funny thing is, the two of them train together just about every day...they were in different waves...and their times were almost identical. Wow...I don't know why, but that just amazes me! It was a blast to be out there cheering people on and awesome to see how fast the leaders are. I was impressed with the entire day. Kudos to all who participated in, volunteered and organized the event. Next year I have to do a tri with my buddies...in fact I have never done a tri with Tara. My next venture for this summer is a bike race, which will hopefully happen within the next two weeks. The new purpose of this blog is to share healthy and yummy recipes that I have tried and find worthy of blogging about. I usually change a few things about the recipe, but I always identify where you can find the original recipe and who actually created the recipe. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do. I would love to hear any comments you have.
